Corona Virus Update
Petland Pickerington Community and Customers,
To our pet loving friends, we value you and thank you for your patience and support as we’ve been adjusting to the current pandemic. We know that pets and people need each other and we are doing everything in our power to keep your families safe.
To achieve this goal, we’ve made adjustments. But first…
We enjoy you and getting the updates on your pets so please share your pet photos to our Social Media pages to bring the same smiles to others. 😊

Effective Monday, March 23, our hours of operation will be 11-Noon for elderly and immunocompromised and noon to 8 p.m. for the remainder of our customers.
Our online store will be operational and available in this week and will provide the option of curb side pick up or drop ship to your home for your pet supplies. It can be found at https://shop.petlandpickerington.com/products/list/
We know pets need people and people need pets and we have plenty of pets! We are accepting appointments to visit with pets you may be interested in adding to your family. This limits the number of people in store and helps us ensure proper social distancing. Please check out our available pets at www.petlandpickerington.com
We all need distraction right now, especially the children home from school. We have pet interaction videos on our Facebook, are adding pet care videos daily, and welcome your funniest pet videos and pics to bring joy to others as well!
Every employee gets their temperature taken at the beginning of their shift. No one with a fever will be permitted to work.
We have daily sanitization protocols we implement with redundancy. Believe me, Kroger loves our frequent purchases. This includes all high touch areas of the store.
We encourage everyone entering and leaving the store to sanitize.
Any employee coughing, sneezing, or sick in anyway stay home for the safety of others
We have advised employees to practice social distancing (eliminating handshakes and staying at least an arm’s length away from others if possible). We space customers out to give each customer plenty of distance from others.
Our corporate consulting veterinarian is maintaining close communications with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to share the most up-to-the-minute information to ensure the actions we’re taking are comprehensive and appropriate. Please see below for more information from the CDC.
If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and have a pet or other animal we recommend:
Avoid close contact with them
do not snuggle or kiss them, or let them lick you, sit on your lap, or sleep in your bed
Avoid coughing and sneezing on your animals
Have another member of your household care for your animals
If this is not possible, always wash your hands before touching or feeding them
Limit your animal’s contact with other people and animals
This may mean keeping them indoors

We have tried to develop ways to meet the needs of the community balanced with safety and appreciate your continued support of our local, family owned store.
